the Department of General Education, Government of Kerala,
registered 15,88,418 hits during the month of January
2006. The hit rate of this site surpasses all other
sites during the time of the SSLC result declaration.
During other times, the maximum hit recorded so was
little less than 4 lakhs during October 2005. In January
2006, website just crossed 4 lakhs hits and witnessed
a sudden boom of hits of 15 lakhs in the first time
in February 2006. This is the first time the site crosses
the 15 lakhs figures during the normal months. The reasons
are obvious. The awareness among the stakeholders on
the use of Internet as an effective media for communication
and education, thanks to the National e-gpvernance award
winning efforts of IT @ SCHOOL.
